Why do I work at Priority Mortgage and why is Priority my top choice?
When I came to Priority almost four years ago, I was looking for a place to give my clients an experience that exceeded expectations, which meant: stellar reputation, top-notch customer service, and competitive rates and products. What was important to me from the internal aspect was to have onsite processing, underwriting, and closing (the way mortgage lending used to be). Priority Mortgage met those requirements and then some.
For the previous 10+ years, I had worked in the banking sector where I had been in branches so making the career move to Priority was a big change. My biggest personal fear was taking the mortgage loan originator state licensing test. Trust me, it wasn’t a big deal. I took a webinar as opposed to studying on my own, and I passed with no issue.
It also helped that the people and management at Priority are the best! The leadership team, as well as the VPs, President and CEO are always available and approachable. You can tell a lot about a company by how long people have been there. Several of the Mortgage Loan Originators have been here 15+ years. That tenure speaks to the culture and processes in place since the doors opened in 1984.
For personal and family balance, I like the flexibility we have. We can work in the office or at home. Our meetings are kept to a minimum, which is nice, but we have camaraderie in the office and that is priceless!
